Despite the worsening Corona situation with tightening of the regulations 1 week before, it was possible to hold the BMPN meeting 2021 in person at the University of Zurich. It was attended by 50 registered participants from different backgrounds. 12 talks and 9 posters were presented, most of them from young investigators of 35 years or below. >> The program is visible here. The poster session and lunch took place in the University's old Lichthof, i.e. translated the court of light, which could not fit better to our discussions on photonics. We strived to provide an in person meeting, because many young researchers did not have the chance to present their work in person for quite some time and they were missing this opportunity. In addition, electronic meetings cannot replace the personal relations that originate by meeting face to face. It was a pleasure to see each other again and in general, the participants greatly enjoyed this opportunity.

Due to the Corona situation, the BMPN meeting 2020 was conducted online. It was attended by 66 registere participants from different backgrounds. 11 talks and 9 posters were presented, most of them from young investigators of 35 years or below. >> The program is visible here.
